On Vineyard Songs

This week, the lectionary readings, Isaiah 5:1-7 and Matthew 21:33-46, tell about harvests of justice and righteousness that disappoint God. Jesus does the salvific work, to be sure. And then the expectation is that we will, in Jesus’ words, “bear fruit for the Kingdom.”
